'A Special Gift'
God sends an angel to the Earth, the sweetest, sassiest angel too. And for such a tiny little thing she had so much to do she knew she did not have much time on this Earth to stay. So, she did not waste a second, she got started right away. Her eyes were bright and sparkly, she took in every turn, and she did not miss a single thing, because Aaliyah came to learn! God sent her here to touch the hearts of those he could not reach she taught them courage, strength, and Faith. Because Aaliyah came to teach! Her tiny little body was full of love and happiness, you felt it when you held her. Because Aaliyah came to Love, in four years, short years she managed what many never will, the day she left her purpose was fulfilled, she learned, taught, loved, and played. She learned her lesson well. We were so proud of her. But, when we miss her OH-So-Much, I can almost hear the words "PLEASE understand, her work was done, Aaliyah did not come to stay, she was a gift."
Our family wishes to extend our sincere things to Aaliyah's medical team from Arkansas Children's Hospital, Arkansas Hospice, Children's Hospital in Texas, Aaliyah's radiology team, the wonderful social workers we've had, the amazing chaplain that came to see her every day sometimes two times a day. And anyone who contributed to her happiness and well-being during this journey we thank you for everything.
