Obituary

Addison KaDerrick Samuels in his 35th season of life passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 in CHI-St. Vincent Hospital, Little Rock, AR from injures received in an automobile accident. He was born January 17, 1982 in Shreveport, LA to Leon and Annie Washington Samuels, Sr.
Addison known as "K-Roc, Addy or KD" to his family and friends, gave his life to Christ at the age of six. Addison was known for his free spirited, fun-loving jokester personality. He was a friend to everyone. Addison lead a full and active life.
Addison was a graduate of Lakeside High School Class of 2000. He attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Garland County Community College. He excelled in everything he set his mind to do. He excelled in sports, drama, taekwondo and music. His passion for music led him to writing, performing, rapping and music production.
Addison loved and played a very active part in the life of his children.
He was a very dedicated employee at Window Mart and his newly started company, "The Gr8 Family".
Those completing the journey before him include his grandparents, Addison and Pearline Samuels; Alonzo B. Washington, Sr.; great uncle, Lindsay Miles; great grandmother, Beatrice Works; aunt, Andrewetta Hamilton; cousins, Alonzo Washington, III, Sam Washington, Johnny R. Washington, Jr. and Andrea Fitzpatrick.
Addison will be remembered and cherished by his mother and step-father, Annie and Robert White of Hot Springs; his father, Leon Samuels, Sr. of Shreveport, LA; his children, twin daughters, NaKiah (14), NaRiah (14) of Little Rock, Maddison (6) of Galveston, TX and Addison, III (4) of Hot Springs; his siblings, Leon Samuels (Christy), Jr. of Shreveport, LA, and Andrewetta Samuels-Chandler (Christopher) of Houston, TX; three nieces, Victoria, Mia and MaKaila; his godfather, Danny Hughes, Sr. of Hot Springs; a host of aunts, uncles and extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Union Baptist Church 219 Gulpha Street with Rev. Leon R. Massey, Officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, April 14, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Roanoke Baptist Church 315 Whittington Ave.
