Our Princess

Aleya La'Shayee Mitchell, age 17 months, 22 days of Hot Springs passed suddenly on Friday, April 9, 2020.  She was born the daughter of Jasmine Knotts and Juwan Mitchell on October 18, 2018.  Although her time on earth seems so brief to us, she touched the hearts of many with her beautiful smile.  We mourn Aleya, but we are assured of the fact that she is in the arms of an angel and we shall see her again someday.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Willis James "Pete" Mitchell; paternal great-grandparents, Craig and Geneva Robinson; maternal grandmother, Glenda Evans.

She leaves a lasting impression in the heart of her parents, Jasmine Knotts and Juwan Mitchell; her big brother, Avyon Mitchell; her younger twin brother and sister, Ju'Juane and Ja'Melaa Mitchell; paternal grandmother, Renea Robinson; maternal grandparents, Terry Knotts and Dwight Andrews; a host of aunts, uncles, and extended family.

A walk-through visitation will be from 12:30 PM – 1:15 PM on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at the funeral home.  Graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM in Morning Star Cemetery.  Please note that all COVID-19 rules and regulations will be strictly enforced and are posted at the funeral home.
