Alvania "Sister" Hobson, age 79 of Hot Springs died, Monday, August 25, 2014. She was born September 4, 1934 in Altheimer, AR to Norvell Johnson and Nunia Nichols. She was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Linda Hobson and her brothers.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Ann Crane, Lidell White, Jr., Joyce Conway, Robert Hobson, Carolyn Hobson and Dennis Hobson all of Hot Springs; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday at Union Baptist Church 219 Gulpha Street with Rev. Douglas E. Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Scott, Arkansas. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family will be at 527 Grove Street.
