Obituary

Anthony Andrew "Pig" Lewis, Sr. age 59, of Hot Springs, passed on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 .  He was born September 7, 1960, in San Diego, CA to Leo and Armentha Mays Lewis. His father preceded him in death as well as his son, Anthony Andrew "Boobie" Lewis, Jr who passed June 30, 2006 ; and his brother, Alex Tyrone Lewis. He was also preceded in death by many other close family members and relatives.

Anthony attended Hot Springs High School where in excelled in track and football.  He began dating Alvelyn Walters in 1983, they were married in 1999. He moved to Chicago, IL in 1985, and started a career with Core Pipe Products, Inc in 1986 and remained there until his passing.  Pig, as he was known to most, was a social butterfly.  He will be remembered for his wide collection of hats and boots.

Those who will miss him in love and cherish his memories include his wife, Alvelyn Walters Lewis; his mother, Armentha Lewis; his children, Rekeena (Michael) Gul, Terrence Lewis, and  Corey Coleman; his siblings, Eden Guinn (James Huff), Lester Lewis, Michael Lewis, Eric Lewis, Jed ( Amber)Lewis, Bryce Lewis, and Timothy Lewis, eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; aunts and uncle, Odester Lewis, Jamie (Jimmy) Colton, and Denne Lee "Coon" Lewis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

A walk-through open visitation will be Friday, July 3, 2020, from 12:00 -6:00 PM at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held Sunday, July 5, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Crestview Cemetery with Pastor Charles Smith officiating.

NOTE: A clarification has been made to the ADH-approved plan in consultation with the Department of Health. The new plan for all indoor funeral services is as follows:
Face coverings are required for all persons present , except for children under 10 years of age. The CDC recommends face coverings for children 2 years old and upwards. All guests, staff, and members of the public, who are 10 years old or over must wear a face covering when attending any indoor funeral service.
