Arnitha Elizabeth Matthews age 57, of Mayflower passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018.  She was born October 25, 1961 in Pine Bluff to the late Fred and Essie Lee Williams.

Arnitha was a graduate of Pine Bluff High School Class of 1978.  She later attended Cosmetology School and became a established beautician.

Arnitha loved to cook and make other people happy by making them look good.

She is survived by her son, Joshua Matthews of Atlanta, GA; her sister, Linda (Jerry) Tatum of Mayflower; brothers, Dennis (Melissa) Williams of Milwaukee, WI, Fred Williams, Donald Williams, Sr. and Virgil Williams all of Pine Bluff; her bonus daughter and son, Sonya Watkins and Reuben Matthews, Jr.  She was a bonus grandmother to nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Her favorite sayings were "Nothing beats a failure but a try" and "Love as you would expect to be loved".

Funeral service will be Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Rock of Ages Baptist Church 8112 Bicentennial Road, Maumelle, AR.  Burial will follow in Union Hopewell Cemetery, Pine Bluff, AR.  Visitation will be from 6:00 – 7:30 PM Friday, November 9, 2018 at the church.
