Henderson - Smith

On Monday, February 5, 2018, our heavenly father dispatched his angels to bring Aurelia Estrellita Henderson Smith to her heavenly home.
Born March 2, 1939 in Hot Springs to Hovey and Dorothy Rosborough Henderson.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of Visitors Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Aurellia was a 1956 graduate of the Historic Langston High School and attended college at the University of Tennessee where she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
On December 1, 1964, she married the love of her life, Albert "A.D." Smith. Their union lasted 52 years until his passing May 14, 2017.
Aurellia retired from the Hot Springs School System in 2009. She had worked over 32 years at Rix, Park, Oaklawn and Langston Elementary Schools and Hot Springs Middle School as a paraprofessional. She was a member of the Rosettes Social and Civic Club. She enjoyed cooking and reading in her leisure time.
She was preceded in death by her aforementioned parents and husband, as well as her sister, Delores Henderson Flowers and her beloved dog, Andre".
Those left to cherish her memories include her cousins, Wanda (Calvin) Brown of New Orleans, LA, Harriett Edlehart of Lancaster, CA, Jennifer (Arbra) Barnett of Little Rock and Sharon Rosborough of Pensacola, FL, Rev Gregory Guinn, Anthony Guinn and Derwin Guinn all of Hot Springs, Reginald Richardson of Bryant and Ira Richardson of Memphis, TN; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn Johnson, Marcille Gant and Sharon Peaches Smith all of Hot Springs; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Visitors Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church with visitation starting at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
