Obituary

Aurora Maria Santos Ramos, 87, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. She was born on February 3, 1938, in Falls City, Texas, to Juantia Sanchez and Victor Santos.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Anita Sebedra; her brothers, Benito Santos, Raymond Ruiz, and Alex Ruiz; and her daughter, Eva Perez.

Aurora lived a life marked by hard work, creativity, and deep love for her family. She spent many years working in a meat packing plant in Amarillo, Texas, and later served as an in-home caregiver with the Texas Panhandle Community Center beginning in 1976. She also worked as a teacher's aide at a community center, where she enjoyed supporting children and families.

Aurora expressed her creativity through jewelry making and crocheting, hobbies she cherished throughout her life. She lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for 14 years with her son, Jesse Ramos, before moving in 2025 to Hot Springs, Arkansas, to live with her son, Daniel Santos. She often said Hot Springs felt like "heaven," and she was grateful to spend her final months there.

Aurora leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her daughter, Angel of Falls City, Texas; her Sons, Joe Ramos, Jesse (Lenora) Ramos, and Daniel (Sandy) Santos; her brothers, Johnny Ruiz, Alvin Ruiz, and Elvis Ruiz; her sisters: Eva Ruiz, Linda Ruiz, and Vaneglinea R. Happ. Her Grandchildren: Holly, Joey, Carlos, Carrie, Cassandra, Jessica, Jordan, and Jacyin, her Great-grandchildren: Cayden, Elijah, Dravan, Greg, Victory, Breanna, J.T., Cloe, Keon, Brayden, Leonidas, MK, one on the way, Leo, and Daegan. A host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Hospice of Hot Springs and to her compassionate nurse, Lonna, for providing exceptional care and support, helping ensure Aurora's comfort and quality of life until the Lord called her home.
