Bertha Johnson Burton, 78, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on April 27, 2022. Bertha was born in DeAnn, Arkansas to Sherman and Cleo Johnson on February 17, 1944.

Bertha is preceded in death by her Parents, her brothers Roscoe, John, David, and Charles.

Bertha attended school at Blevins Training School and then to Nursing School at Baptist.  In the mis of it Betha married Richard Burton on December 15, 1962, in Hempstead County.  She worked for Dr. S. William Ross and later worked at the Little Rock Internal Medicine Clinic.  She retired from nursing after 27 years.  Bertha was very passionate and involved in the Holistic Health Ministry at her church home, First Baptist Highland Park.

Bertha is survived by her husband, Richard Burton, children; Alvin Burton and Dawn (Dimetrich) Washington, Stepchildren; Jason (Shawanda) Burton and Allison Burton, brother; Douglas Johnson and sister; Birdie (Roosevelt) Brown, grandchildren; Brittany (Deveron) Garnett, Aaron Burton, Hannah King, Jaylon Burton, Brooklynn Washington, Jordan Jackson, and Jarius Burton, and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 5, 2022, at the Carrigan Memorial Funeral Home 336 E. Grand Hot Springs AR 71901.  Graveside services will be 10 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at North Little Rock, Arkansas with the Rev. Dr. W. W. Walker of the First Baptist Church Highland Park officiating.
