Obituary

Beverly Kay Holly was born February 7, 1958, in Scott, AR, to Alice Brock and David Moore Jr.

Beverly was raised by her maternal grandmother Viola Springer who started her out early in the church at Mount Hope Baptist Church until her earthly departure in April 1978.

To know Beverly was to love her. She never met a stranger, anywhere she went. She was loud, proud, and devoted. Beverly wore many hats but the most important one outside of Momma and faithful servant was "Grandma Aunt Beb." In her early years, you could catch her with a van full of kids and they were headed to the nearest park or church.

On September 4, 1984, Beverly married her late husband Joe Lee Holly, and to that union, three children were born. Joe Lee departed this life on September 27, 2016.

In 1998 Beverly, along with her family moved to Hot Springs AR, where she was employed for many years as a cook at The Dixie Cafe and Housekeeping supervisor at Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation until her health failed. She joined St. Thomas Chapel Baptist Church in 1999 under the leadership of Rev. Charles E. Smith where she remained a faithful member until her passing. She served as the pastor's secretary, youth director, program director, announcement clerk and in the janitorial and culinary department. Although she couldn't hold a note, she was a proud member of the St. Thomas choir.

Beverly is preceded in death by her before-mentioned parents, grandmother, and husband, one brother; Aaron Jackson, and three sisters; Doris Johnson, Lois Johnson, and Jasmine Moore. Two very special grandchildren whom she loved and raised, and in her words "To God be the glory for their life that ended so soon; LaTija Luckey (11/16/2018) and LeBrian Holly Jr. (11/27/2021)
