Billy Frank Dodson, 47 of Hot Springs, AR. shed his earthly bonds and sailed into the mystic on Monday, May 6, 2024. Born May 28, 1976, he entered the world precipitously and exhibited many talents and abilities at an early age.

In his youth, he was a member of the GATE program, taught himself to play the guitar, learned the piano, and was the first chair clarinet player in the high school band. He became a passionate fisherman at a very young age and took great delight in using bait provided by nature. Billy loved all things outdoors and enjoyed camping, hiking, rock climbing, hunting for fossils and arrowheads and so many other things.

A true Renaissance man, he was a talented artist, and composer, recorded his own music, gardened, landscaped, and had become an expert at
knapping arrowheads. He earned an associate degree in Liberal Arts, worked in the juvenile court system, and later became an entrepreneur and general jack of all trades.

Billy is survived by three children, Veroniqae, Aiden, and Harmony Dodson, siblings Michele Halvorson, M. Jason Cloud, Kasye Moss, Jessica Dodson, and Joshua Dodson, Mother Sarah Jett, and life partner Christina Hicks. Like a shooting star, his life blazed and burned out too soon. Billy's talent, acerbic and irreverent wit, generosity, and other abilities will be missed by his family and friends.

The Celebration of life will be Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Carrigan Memorial Funeral Service 336 E Grand Ave. Hot Springs, AR 71901.
