Brenda Elaine Whitley, 72, of Cedar Hill, TX transitioned from this life on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. Brenda was born to Floyd and Ruby Hamilton Whitley in Hope, Arkansas on November 22, 1951.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents.

Brenda was a proud graduate of Yerger High School, Class of 1969. She accepted Christ at an early age, a commitment that guided her throughout her life. After high school, Brenda moved to Detroit, Michigan, where she began her career with Unisys. After several years, she relocated to Dallas, Texas, where she continued her career with Unisys until her retirement.

Brenda's love for her family was evident. She found joy and fulfillment in spending time with her loved ones and in her hobbies. Brenda had a particular passion for sending out cards and Collecting ceramics, a pursuit that brought her great pleasure and allowed her to express her creativity. She will be deeply missed by all who know her. Brenda's warmth, and kindness will forever be remembered.

Brenda leaves to cherish her memories with her loving daughter, Africa Howard Grind of Orange Park, FL, her siblings, Terri Whitley of Hope, AR, and Floyd Whitley of Shreveport, LA, her partner Tony Shewcraft of Cedar Hill, TX. her grandchildren, Darius Peters and Devin Grind of Florida, a host of family and relatives.

The celebration of life will be held Tuesday, September 03, 2024, at 11:00 at Hicks Funeral Home 407 S. Hazel St. Hope Arkansas 71801
