Obituary

Bridgett Lynn Minor, 64, of Hot Springs, AR, transitioned peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. She was born on October 22, 1960, to Curtis Minor Jr. and Junie Watkins in San Diego, California.

Bridgett was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Minor Jr., and other beloved family members.

Bridgett graduated from Garfield High School in 1978, Bridgett went on to pursue a fulfilling career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She was deeply devoted to her family, often expressing her joy in simple moments such as cooking meals and sharing them with her children. She cherished her family's values of honesty, love, and straightforwardness.

Bridgett was a dedicated member of Union Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Corey Scott. She loved her church community and found purpose in serving others. She spearheaded "Bridgett's Closet," a charitable initiative providing clothing, shoes, blankets, gloves, and other necessities to those in need—a testament to her selfless and compassionate spirit. She was faithful in serving the underserved and unhoused at every opportunity she had, embodying the true meaning of service and compassion.

Bridgett is survived by her loving children, Londell Kinsey, Tyrayl Russell, and Akyia Russell; her devoted mother, Junie Haywood; and her siblings, Michael Coats, Keedra Minor Brown, Versie Stephens, Toya Smith, and Damon Minor. Her grandchildren; McKenzie, Ty'von, Tyveon, Tyree, Teanna, Ramone, Amaree, Silenna, Dwayne, Canaan, and Jayda. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

A memorial service to celebrate Bridgett's life will be held on Tuesday, December 03, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 219 Gulpha Street, Hot Springs, AR 71901.
