Carlos Nelson Matthews age 71, of Hot Springs, passed away, Saturday, August 17, 2019.  He was born November 7, 1947, to William and Ethel Cashmere Matthews.  They preceded him in death as well as, his wife of 54 years, Eunice Clara DeVore Matthews; his siblings, Elvie Timbs, Ronnie Hefley, Ronald Matthews, Edward Garrett.

He was an Evangelist who loved taking the word to the streets and feed the homeless.  He also loved to sing God's word.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Carlos is survived by one son, Eugene (Jeanne) DeVore; one sister, Patsy (Furman) DeVore; one brother, Gordon Garrett; his brother-in-law, Harold Timbs; his grandchildren, nieces & nephews, including a special nephew, Chuckie Fisher, and his extended family.  We ask that you take a moment to remember him in your thoughts and prayers.
