Carol was preceded in death by her parents, James Bennett Kistler and Elizabeth Iona Kistler of Marion, North Carolina; her siblings, John Allen Kistler and Judy Jenkins; her beloved son, Stanley Edward Berg; and grandsons Eddie Westbrook and Baylor Meredith.

Later, after moving to Hot Springs, Arkansas, she continued her calling as a teacher for the Early Head Start program, making a lasting impact on countless children and families.
In addition to her work with children, Carol was a gifted writer and painter. She found joy in writing children's books, weaving stories that reflected her warmth and imagination. Her love of painting brought color and beauty into the lives of those around her, expressing the gentle spirit that defined her.
Carol's legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched through her kindness, her creativity, and the joy she brought to every child and family she encountered. She will be lovingly remembered as "Miss Coco" and deeply missed.

Her biggest saying was that without her, none of us would be here, and that was a huge accomplishment for my mom, her greatest. Thank you
