Obituary

Cedric Lee Thompson of Arlington, Texas/Hot Springs, Arkansas, was born to Elmo Jelly Bean Thompson and Yvonne Timmons on July 22, 1962, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He gained his wings on January 2, 2023, and will be joining those who preceded him: his parents, his sister, Tamara Thompson, his aunt, Gladys Ballard, and his neighborhood second mom, Miss Lula Mae Hoskins.

Cedric was a graduate of Hot Springs High School in 1981 who was passionate about football and track. After high school, he attended Garland County Community College for a short while. He enlisted in the United States Army on July 6, 1982, and served until July 5, 1988. During that time, he was a Specialist and served in South Korea as a sharpshooter. He then went on to work at CFC Print solutions in Grand Prairie, Texas. If you knew him, you would know he was a very smart and hardworking man. However, he was very frugal, not the one to spend a lot of money. He had an avid love for animals. He also enjoyed his family! Traveling was his favorite thing to do. If you were having an event, more than likely he popped up. Cedric was always willing to help others.

A lifetime of love and memories will be forever felt by: his daughter, J'Lisa Thompson, his grandson, Cayden Parpley of Fort Worth, Texas, his sister, Debbie  Thompson of Hot Springs, his brother, Ellis  Thompson of Hot Springs, his brother, Mark  (Wilma) Thompson of  Mukilteo, Washington, his aunt, Betty Carter of San Antonio, Texas. His extended family, Joanne Davis, Elaine Keeton, Chester Davis, Jimmy Davis, Terry Davis, Maurice Davis, and Jerry Bolden as well as a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, family, and friends, are also included.
