Cindy Lynn Bates, age 57 of Hot Springs, peacefully transitioned at her home with family by her side on Friday, May 14, 2021.  She was born in Malvern Arkansas to Earl Lee and Vera Mae Purifoy on January 13, 1964.

She has preceded in death by her parents; and her grand-dog Paris.

She was a graduate of Malvern High School. Shortly after she went on to obtain a nursing certification. In the mist of it all, she met her husband. Her hobbies include fishing, dancing most of all dancing.

Cindy is survived by her; Husband of 26 years Augustus Long, son; Kejaun Bates, and daughter; Aliyah Long all of Hot Springs. Two grandchildren Ke'Ante Bates and Sophia Dorsey, Her five sisters; Vera Vaughn, Flora (James) Lambert, Freda Bealer, Elois Smith, and Patrica (Andrew) Beal, her five brothers; Billi (Helen) Bealer, Albert Bealer, Soloman (Bernadette) Hopkins, Willie (Clementine) Hopkins, Ricky Purifoy. A host of family and friends.

The memorial service will be Saturday, May 22, 2021, at 11:00 am at Nazarene Baptist Church 220 Silver St. with Pastor James Lambert JR. Officiating.
