Obituary

Clayton Blewett Wilson, 59, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, transitioned on Thursday, October 16, 2025. Clay was born on May 30, 1966, in Atlanta, Georgia, to George Wilson Jr. and Sara Elizabeth Appleton Wilson.

Clay grew up in Atlanta alongside his brother, Brett, and graduated from Arlington Academy. He later attended Reinhardt University, where he continued pursuing his passion for the sciences.

While at Reinhardt, Clay met the love of his life, Sherry. Together, they built a beautiful family and were blessed with two daughters, Victoria and Elizabeth. Clay was immensely proud of his girls and spoke about them every chance he could. He was also a cherished uncle, cousin, and loyal friend to many.

Clay spent his life serving others. Anyone who knew him could share a story about the countless projects and acts of kindness he took on for the people he loved. His faith was the foundation of his life: faith in God, devotion to his family, dedication to his church, and commitment to his community. He was equally loyal in his decades-long career with Coca-Cola, proudly refusing to be seen with any Pepsi product.

An outdoorsman at heart, Clay loved camping and spending time in nature with family and friends. Later in life, he developed a passion for golf.

Clay was a brilliant thinker and a natural problem solver. Time spent talking with him always left you thinking in new and deeper ways.

Clay's mind and soul will be profoundly missed, but the light of his spirit lives on in all who knew and loved him.
