Cory Terrance Gibson Sr. was born on June 20, 1980, in Colorado Springs, CO to Rosalind and Willie Gibson. His father preceded him in death (March 2018) as well as his sister, Keisha Famous (January 2018).

Cory attended Clark High School in Las Vegas, NV.  As a young child he attended church with his beloved grandmother, Dorothy Qualls.  As an adult, Cory later embraced the Muslim faith.

Everyone who knew Cory knew that he had a very sociable personality and loved to laugh.  He could hold an intellectual conversation on almost any topic, and he was not afraid to take on a challenge. Cory was family-oriented and loved his family dearly.

Cory departed this life on Monday, September 23, 2019, in Hot Springs, AR.  He was a loving son, father, and rother.  He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Cory Jr; mother, Rosalind Timmons, sister, LaToya Timmons; brothers, Brian Gibson, Patrick Timmons, Jr., and Randell Johnson; his extended family which includes aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, and cousins, as well as many friends.

Cory will truly be missed.

A memorial service was held Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Eureka Baptist Church, 721 Gaines Street, Hot Springs, AR, Rev. Steve R. Lake, pastor and Minister Patrick Timmons, eulogist.
