Craig Walter
Thurmon
Jul 6, 1956 — Jan 28, 2026
Craig Walter Thurmon, 69, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, transitioned on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. He was born on July 6, 1956, in Shreveport, La, to Clyde Walter Thurmon and Helen Thurmon.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers, George Stine of Heath, TX, and Edward Stine of Lake Charles, La.
Craig grew up on Cross Lake in Shreveport, where, as a boy, he was always fishing and hunting, and he continued to do so all his life. Craig was a great cook. He liked to eat good food as well as to talk at length about planning and making meals.
Craig had a successful career as a Logistics and Supply Chain Professional. He traveled the United States and China, managing the installation of conveyor systems for the United States Postal Service, University Libraries, and Airports.
Craig is survived by his daughter Emily (Corey) Dupuis of Baton Rouge, sisters Denise Thurmon of Minneapolis, Mn, Sherry Thurmon of Keller, Tx, brother Leon Thurmon of Grand Junction, Co, nieces Stacie Peddie, Mindi Thurmon, and nephews Ronnie Stine, Marshall Thurmon, and Cameron Thurmon.
Family and close friends will gather in April to remember Craig and to honor his wish that his ashes be spread at Cross Lake.
