David Jerry Miller, 82, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, transitioned on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Texarkana, Texas, at Christus St. Michael Health System. He was born on December 22, 1943, in Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas, to Charles Austin Miller and Viola Mae Johnson.

David was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Edgar, Curtis, Russell, and Ronnie; Glenn, and his sister, Jean.

David grew up in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he attended Hot Springs High School. He later joined the United States Army and faithfully served for five years, earning the rank of E-5 Sergeant before returning to civilian life.

He enjoyed bird watching and was an avid ham radio operator. David treasured time spent with family and friends and was devoted to his church. He was a proud member of Morning Star United Methodist Church.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Joyce A. Miller; his children, Etta Neal, Jason Miller, Joshua Miller (Brittany Fox), and Darby Miller; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, Marie Miller, LaVaughn Miller, and Jackie Miller, brother-in-law Larry Magby, extended family, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

David was deeply loved and will always be remembered.
