Doris J. Barron age 80, of Hot Springs passed away Friday, October 4, 2018.  She was born August 2, 1938 in Brandon, MS to James L. Taylor and Francis Taylor.

Doris read and lived the word of God faithfully and always encouraged those around her to do the same. She was a member of Bethlehem Temple. She attended Langston High School.

Doris begin her career in food services where she worked for National Park Hospital for over 39 years as a head cook.

She was preceded in death by her father, James L. Taylor, her mother, Francis Taylor Huggins, two children, Stanley Lee Bowie, and Linda Kay Wilson.

Doris leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Jackie Huggins, her children, Floyd Bowie Jr, Ernestine (Ricky) Gilmore, Margaret Bowie, Randy Bowie, Melissa (Dewayne) Ealy, and Joyce (Ray) Holloway; grandchildren, Tyrone Ealy, Marissa Ealy, Ronnie Gill, Yolanda Gill, Laronda Gill, Trinity Bowie, Crystal Anderson, Jason Anderson, Sharvera Bowie, and Sameka Bowie. Jourdan Wilson, Kaleb Wilson, and Jada Wilson; seven great grandchildren; special cousins, Mary Lee Mitchell and nephews, Jack Burris and James Bowie and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday, October 13, 2018 10:00 AM at Bethlehem Temple Church 511 Wade Street with Bishop Williams, officiating.  Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, October 12, 2018 from 5:00 – 6:30 PM at the funeral home.
