Doris Ann Rigsby, 76, of Hot Springs, AR, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. She was born on August 31, 1947, to Johnny Lee Scott and Corene McKinney Smith.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Elijah and Dennis Smith; and her sisters, Marenda May, Patricia Smith, and Frances Williams.

She was a proud graduate of AM&N University (now UAPB) in Pine Bluff, AR. Doris dedicated over 30 years of her life to serving the community as a social worker with CSO/Head Start. She had a deep passion for helping others and enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends, playing cards, and traveling. She was known for her impeccable style. Doris always kept up with the latest trends, matching her outfits from head to toe. Doris was a devoted member of Greater St. Paul Baptist Church. After relocating to Little Rock she became a member of Second Baptist church.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Cassandra (Gregory) Crosby; her grandchildren, Chere' Rector-Marshall and Latres' (Justin) George; and her great-grandchildren, Tavion Rector, Armani Marshall, Messiah George, and Jeremiah George, all of Little Rock, AR., her Goddaughter Susan (Anthony)Burns-Smith, her brothers, Gerald (Nancy) Smith, Frankfort, Germany, Dexter (Lynn) Smith, Fontana, CA, and Joseph (Angela) Scott, Jr., of Hot Springs, AR.; her sisters, Beverly Smith, Gloria Jackson, and Janice Washington, all of Hot Springs, AR., Special friends Survenia Counts, Johnnie Evans, and Reannoh Duckett.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The memorial service will be Friday, August 30, 2024, at 11:00 am at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church 497 Crescent Ave Hot Springs, AR 71901.
