Obituary

Dorothy Laverne Hopson went to be with the Lord and her loving husband, on Thursday, February 20, 2020.  She was born on June 25 th to Damien and E.C. Watson Kelso in Prescott, AR.  Dorothy was a graduate of McRae High School in Prescott, AR.  She relocated to Hot Springs and became a member of the Cottrell Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.  Dorothy worked for many years for the Dodson family.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her aforementioned parents; her husband, Harlee "Contractor" Hopson, Sr; her siblings, May Helen Miller, and Cleverne Johnson.

Those left to cherish her memories include her son, Harlee (Danielle) Hopson, Jr., and children, Adriana, and Aaliyah; granddaughter, Lashae Hopson and her children, K'Viyon, and Shaylona; her niece, Dorothy (David, Sr.) Reviere, who was reared as a daughter in the home and their children, David, Jr, Dominique Chance, Demetrius Reviere, and Dorian Reviere; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 9:00 AM at Cottrell Chapel C.M.E. Church, 696 East Grand Ave.  Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery.  Open visitation will be Friday from 1:00 PM-5:00 PM at the funeral home.
