Ellery Charles Jackson was the first born son and second child born to Charles Henry and Valada Dobson Jackson on April 13, 1959. In his 58th season of life he sleeps away in the arms of the Lord on Monday, May 8, 2017 in Killeen, TX. His father preceded him in death, as well as his brother, Vincent J. Jackson and a sister, Venita R. Jackson and extended family members.

Ellery received his religious foundation from the Union Baptist Church. He attended St. Gabriel and Goldstein Elementary Schools. He was a 1977 graduate of Hot Springs High School. He attended Henderson State University before joining the Untied States Army. Ellery served his county well and was a decorated solider when he retired. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and was an avid reader.

Ellery married Torrea Garland Adams in 1998. He took his vows to heart and was a devoted, dedicated and faithful husband until his passing.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Torrea Garland Adams Jackson of Kileen, TX; his mother, Valada Jackson of Hot Springs; step-sons, Jerone and Shannon Adams of Killeen, TX; a brother, Carlton Jackson, Virginia Beach, VA; sister-in-law and Facebook friend, Cheryl Jackson and a niece, Andrea Jackson both of Jacksonville, FL; mother-in-law, Pearlie Garland of Little Rock; brother-in-law, Candy L. Garland of Jacksonville, AR; sisters-in-law, Annette Garland of Baltimore, MD and Kim Garland of Little Rock; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

A visitation will be Monday, May 15, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be 12:00 PM, Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery 1501 Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR with full military honors.
