"Red", as she was known by most, was born in Hot Springs, December 19, 1929, to the union of Sam and Glodine Wilson Scales. She passed peacefully in her home on Saturday, April 11, 2020 . The month of April will forever be a month that the White family will always remember.  Ivery White, III was born April 3, 1950; Joshua White (son of Ivery White) passed on April 3, 2011, and was funeralized on April 11, 2011 ; Jeremy Duvall (son of Ann White) passed on April 1, 2017 , the birthdate of Ivery White, Sr. and was funeralized on April 8, 2017 ; Shelton Mitchell who is (Ivery's grandson and Red's first great-grandchild) passed on the same day Red passed, April 11, 2020, and was funeralized on April 14, 2020.

Red met the love of her life, Ivery Grimes White, Jr, and their union was blessed with eight children, Ivery passed on October 9, 1988.

Red was an active member of St. Mark Baptist Church until her health declined.  She was a woman that when she spoke everyone listened. If you chose not to listen, she had a few choice words for you no matter who you were. She loved being with her family and was loved much by them.
