Floyce Dilworth, 82 of Prescott, Arkansas transitioned on May 4, 2024, at Hillcrest Care and Rehabilitation. On April 30, 1942, Floyce was born to Azell Patterson and Lorene McGill Patterson in Blevins, Arkansas. She was the cherished granddaughter of Fred (Bertha) McGill.
Floyce was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents Fred (Bertha) McGill and John (Mattie) Patterson, one brother Azell Patterson, Jr, and one stepmother, Virta Lee Patterson.
Floyce embraced her faith at a young age, becoming a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She received her education at Blevins Training School and furthered her studies at AM&N College in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. With a passion for education, Floyce dedicated 41 years to teaching in Ashdown, Blevins, and Little Rock.
Later in life, Floyce relocated to Little Rock, Arkansas, where she became a member of Greater Paradise Baptist Church. She was known for her love of writing, gardening, and treasured moments spent with family. Floyce was the esteemed family historian.
She is survived by her loving husband, Earl Dilworth, and her son, Craig Dilworth, both of Little Rock, Arkansas, her one brother Lee (Barbara) Patterson of Blevins, Arkansas; sister-in-law Carlene Patterson of Flint, Michigan; four stepsisters, Brenda Marks, Willie Marie Stuart, Barbara Cooper, and Karen Cooper; and uncle Fred (Ethel) McGill, six nephews Eric Patterson of Flint, Michigan, Phillip (Jamie) Patterson of Flint, Michigan, Lee Patterson Jr of Little Rock, AR, Sterling (Joyas) Patterson of Blevins, AR, Patrick (Erica) Patterson of Texarkana, AR, Coy (Nikki) Patterson of El Dorado, AR, one niece Bridget (Torrance) McClure of Hope AR, four great-great nephews, Legend Patterson, JaKavion King (Patterson), Princen Zay Patterson and Traceon Harris, one special friend Rose Jones and a special cousin Richard Burton. A host of great nieces, nephews, and friends.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 11:00 am the visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Victory Temple Church of God In Christ 415 South David Street Murfreesboro, AR 71928. The interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery 2850 Hempstead #16 Prescott, Arkansas 71857.
