Obituary

Franklin Delonare Roosevelt Cooper, Jr., 67, of Hot Springs, went to be with his Lord and Savior in Heaven on September 19, 2021, in Hot Springs. He was surrounded by loves ones.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents Franklin Cooper, Sr., Aretha Cooper, bonus mom, Freddie Cooper. He's also preceded by his brothers Donald Ray Cooper and Larry Lawson.

Frank was born in Prattsville, AR. to Franklin and Aretha Montgomery Cooper on July 25th, 1954. He attended school in Prattsville. He married the love of his life Ruby Asher February 14, 1986, in Hot Springs, AR. Frank worked up till the time he was called home by his Savior, at John Gibson Auto Sales as a transporter for 50 years. Frank always had a smile on his face and would do anything for you if you needed help. Frank spent most of his free time with his family. This was something he enjoyed tremendously. At the age of 67, he was still getting out on the basketball court with his grandkids shooting hoops, riding his motorcycle, giggling, and spending time at Lake Degray with his family.

Frank is survived by his best friend and wife of 35 years, Ruby. His 6 daughters, Mary Barracks of Hot Springs, 2 kids, and 5 grandkids, Norma Ponder of Hot Spring, 4 kids and 13 grandkids, Rose Beard of Hot Springs, 3 kids, 10 grandkids, and 2 great-grandkids, Dena (Velton) Lacy of Hot Springs, 3 kids, 5 grandkids, Tamara Freeman of Hot Springs, 3 kids, Shannon Bishop of Malvern, 2 kids and 2 grandkids. His brothers, James Danner, Gary Cooper, Sr., Darnell (Erica) Cooper, Sr., Ulysses (Shelita) Cooper, all of Hot Springs. His Sisters are Betty Danner of Hot Springs, Linda (Grady) Ollison of Malvern, his bonus brothers, Sylvania (Peggy) Lawson of Mtn. Pine, Lafayette Lawson of Woodland Hills, CA., a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, September 25, 2021, at GOSPEL MISSION CHURCH of GOD 1107 Spring Street Hot Springs, AR. 10:00 am We ask that you join us in wearing the color RED to honor Frank. This is his favorite color. We also ask that you wear a mask. Thank you and God Bless!
