Freddie Lee Burns, SR. 80 of Hot Springs, AR. passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022. He was born to Willie Lee and Johnnie Burns in Gould, AR a town he never forgot.

Freddie moved to Hot Springs, AR in 1960 where he met and married the love of his life Shirley in 1964. To their union, three children were born one girl and two boys.

Freddie and Shirley enjoyed 38 years of cruising the blue seas. He loved playing spades, dancing, (and boy could he dance) fishing, and spontaneous and planned trips. Not to mention he loved Oaklawn Race Track and the Arlington Hotel where he retired after 38 years and loved every year.

Those completing the journey before him include his parents, son Freddie Jr, brother Horace Burns, Willie Burns, Robert Wesson, Henry Burns, Marshall Burns, Richard Burns, Huston Burns, and Jessie Burns, and sister Maggie Burns.

Freddie will be remembered by his wife, Shirley Burns, his son, Jerome Burns, his loving daughter (daddy girl) Susan (Anthony) Smith, his grandchildren, Antwon Burns, and Nikki Natt,Aqa-Via Childress, Devanta Johnson, great-grandchildren, Kiyah Anzaldua-Burns, A-Jay Burns, Baylee Covey, all of Hot Springs, AR his sister Dorothy Singleton, of Memphis Tn, Eular Foster, South Haven Michigan, Birdie (Joe) Sorrell, San Antonio, TX  Florence Davis, North Carolina, Gladys Jones, and Linda Taylor of Hot Springs Ar. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The visitation will be Thursday, December 01, 2022, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Carrigan Memorial Funeral Service 336 E. Grand Ave. Hot Springs, AR 71901. The Funeral will be Friday, December 02, 2022, at 12:00 PM at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church 497 Crescent Ave Hot Springs, AR 71901.
