Helen Mae Lacefield Ellington age 86, of Detroit, MI formerly of Hot Springs

passed away, October 29,2017 in Detroit. She was born October 20, 1931 in Hot Springs to the late, Julious and Helen Lacefield. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ellington; daughter, Katherine Lacefield; brothers, Finus and George Lacefield.

She was a graduate of the Historic Langston Jr. and High School Class of 1949. She was very active in school and the community in Hot Springs. She was employed with General Motors for several years. Helen was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Helen continued to be very active in the city of Detroit.

Her survivors include her daughters, Robin Ellington and Imogene Lacefield; her sister, Rose Blewett; sisters-in-law, Rosetta and Clarise Lacefield; step-son, Robert Ellington, III; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

Service were held in Detroit, MI
