James T. Freund, 64, went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2025. A man of humor, heart, and deep love for his family, James will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

James was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Billy Freund and Mildred Stanford, and by the love of his life, Mary Hines, with whom he shared 30 beautiful years. His loyalty, devotion, and enduring love for Mary were a testament to his character.

For 21 years, James worked faithfully at Johnston Ford in New Boston, Texas, where he was known for his dedication and integrity. Following his retirement, he moved to Arkansas to be closer to his family, a decision that brought him great joy and peace.

James had a quick wit and a sharp sense of humor that was truly his own. Whether sharing a clever remark or a heartfelt moment, he brought energy, curiosity, and boundless love to every room he entered. His spirit lives on in the memories of those who loved him.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude for all the prayers, phone calls, and kind words during this time of loss. In accordance with James' wishes, his body will be donated to the Anatomical Gift Program for the advancement of medical science. Per his request, there will be no formal funeral services.

James' life was a gift, and his legacy will continue in the hearts of many.
