James is proceeding in death by his parents, his brother Joseph R. JR., and his wife Shirley Jenkins McCraney.

James has a reputation for loving kindness, gentleness, and loyalty. He was an amazing cook. He was a Dr. Dolittle with animals, and dogs, who absolutely adored him, He even owned a couple of wolves in his life. James played football for and was a graduate of Little Rock Central High.

James received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. James was not only strong in his faith he was a prayer warrior and a prayed faithful. James married Shirley Jenkins and became the father to her children Corliss, DeeDee, and Tyrone, and a host of grandchildren.

Jenkins leaves to cherish his memories with his sisters, Mary (Bert) Scales, Rose (Eugene) Bailey, Virginia (Alex) Strong, Madelyn, Melissa, Margaret, and his brother Jerry (Christine). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
