James Arthur
Moore
Dec 27, 1934 — Dec 3, 2025
James Arthur Moore, 90, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, gained his heavenly wings on December 3, 2025. James was born on December 27, 1934, in Lake Charles, LA, to Phillip Jean Moore and Mary January.
James was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patricia Ann Sams-Moore (2015), his daughter, Deadra Moore, and his son, John Moore.
James spent over 25 years working as a truck driver a Weyerhaeuser Inc., a career that reflected his dedication and reliability. Even after retirement, he continued to serve his community as a bus driver for the Hot Springs School District, where he was known for his dependability and caring spirit. He also willingly shared his mechanical skills whenever a helping hand was needed.
He found his greatest joy being a member of Roanoke Baptist Church. In the simple blessings of tending to his yard and faithfully caring for the church property, he loved so dearly. James lived by his favorite saying, "Oh Lord, I thank you," a phrase that perfectly captured his grateful heart and unwavering faith, and just life being outdoors and hunting
A man of strong faith, steady work ethic, and genuine kindness, James lived a life devoted to service, family, and gratitude, and his steadfast faith in God.
James leaves to cherish his memory to his brother, Neal (Feye) Moore of Lake Charles, Louisiana; his grandson, Jonathan Moore of Georgia; his lifelong friend, Doris Thompson of Hot Springs, Arkansas, another close friend and brother Andre (Rosa) Jackson of Hot Springs, Arkansas, his bonus children, his in-laws, his lifelong family in-love, his church and work family. A host of extended family, friends, grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know him.
