Obituary

Jeffrey "Jeff" Bernard Finney, 70, completed his earthly journey on Thursday, September 29, 2022. Jeff was born January 1, 1952, in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Ralph and Hiji Finney.

He was preceded in death by his parents; half-sisters, Evon McClure, Brenda Jenkins; his father-in-law, William "Zeke" Evans.

He attended Langston High School and graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1970. After graduation, Jeff worked for the Arkansas Highway Department for several years. He retired from Entergy after 39 years of employment.

Jeff married Deborah Denise Snowden in 1978 and they shared a daughter, Caliece. After their divorce, he married his wife of 36 years, Tamra Anderson. Jeff enjoyed bowling, golfing, gardening, and spending time with family. He was a member of Garland County Master Gardeners.

He is survived by his wife, Tamra Finney of Hot Springs; daughter, Caliece (Clifton) Hart of Cumming, GA; son, Jason Finney of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Je'son Finney, Tristin Finney, and Constance Hart; great-grandchildren, Tatia, Olivia, and Lorenzo; brothers, Darrell (Rebecca) Finney of Little Rock, Clarence "Pete" (Toliya) Finney of DeSoto, TX; half-brother, Rodney (Rhonda)Finney of Santa Clarita, CA; sisters, Gwendolyn Finney of Hot Springs, Wanda Nelson of Hope Mills, NC, Harriet Finney of Tucson, AZ, and Juliette Finney of DeSoto, TX; mother-in-law, Johnnie Evans of Hot Springs; brothers-in-law, Keith Evans of Wildomar, CA and Anthony (Carmen) Evans of Chesapeake, VA; sisters-in-law, Diedre Knox and Karen Evans of Woodbridge, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The memorial will be Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 11:00 am at The Historic Visitors Chapel A.M.E. Church 319 Church Street Hot Springs, Arkansas 71901.
