Joan Baum Billings was born in Knox City, TX on July 15, 1936 to James and Bessie Mae Webb.  She grew up the youngest of twelve children in Rule, TX.  She was preceded in death by her aforementioned parents; siblings, Lavern Webb, Vera Webb, Creola Cone, Emma Glover, Billie Atkins, Hazel Hindman, J.E. Webb, Cleo Webb, Norman Webb, Davis Webb.  Joan went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the age of 82 years young.  Though out her life, Joan was a homemaker, business woman, realtor, and mother.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of twenty-four years, Don Billings of Hot Springs Village, AR; her sister, Mary Pyland of Abilene, TX; her children, Rhonda Carter of Hot Springs Village, AR, John Baum and wife, Linda of Coleman, TX, Jim Baum and wife, Kelly of Lockney, TX and Jeff Baum and wife, Kelly of Lubbock, TX; her grandchildren, Michael Gibbs and wife, Joy of San Angelo, TX, Bene' Barrera and her husband, Chase of Houston, TX, Parker Baum and his wife, Maja of Sombor,  Serbia, Taylor Baum and his wife, Krista of Abilene, TX, Elizabeth Baum and Anna Baum both of Coleman, TX, Emily Baum, Mason Baum, Mitchell Baum and, Mylee Baum all of Lubbock, TX; three great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Her family would like to thank all of her friends and special caregivers for their kindness during her time of need. Special thanks to the caring staff of Dierksen Hospice.

A graveside celebration will be held Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 2:30 PM at Rule Cemetery, Rule, TX under the direction of Haskell Funeral Home, Haskell, TX.  Local arrangements are entrusted to Carrigan Memorial Funeral Services 336 East Grand Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71901.
