John Earl Byrd, 59, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, transitioned on Friday, May 29, 2026. He was born on July 31, 1966, to Lena Byrd in Little Rock, Arkansas. 

John was known among his friends and family as a passionate and dedicated individual, particularly in his love for gaming. He embraced his hobby with a rare dedication, often recording himself in play, a testament to his desire not only to enjoy his passion but to master it through reflection and resilience.

John leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Lena Byrd of Hot Springs, his sister, Lacole Gilkie of Atlanta, Georgia, and his brother, Kenneth (Angela) Byrd of Hot Springs. Alongside them are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Carrigan Memorial Chapel, 336 East Grand Ave. The graveside service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Hollywood Cemetery, 303 Hollywood Ave, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
