John M. Long Obituary

John Mitchell Long, 45, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on September 28, 2024. John was born on July 16, 1979, in Chicago, Illinois, to Betty Thurman and Donnie Long.

John is preceded in death by his father, Donnie Long. He spent his formative years in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where he attended school. On December 9, 2017, he married his best friend, Charla, with whom he shared a deep and loving bond.

John worked at Glisson's Motorsports for many years, where he was well-loved. He had a passion for working on cars, particularly classic cars, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

John is survived by his devoted wife, Charla Long; his two stepsons, Bralan and J'Shawn; his sister, Kheisa Long; and two brothers, Antonio and Adrian Long.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the doctors, nurses, hospice team, and especially Brenda's family, who provided care and comfort during John's final hours
