Johnny Chambers Sr received his wings March 15, 2018 in Kansas City MO. He was born January 11, 1948 in Waldo AR to the union of Travis & Minnie Chambers. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Joe Witcher; brothers, T.J. Chambers, Lonnie Chambers and Ronnie Witcher. He graduated from the Historic Langston High School Class of 1966. He was a graduate of AM&N (now the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. He was a high school educator and a college professor. Johnny obtained his Master's Degree in Mathematics from Emporia State University in Kansas City, MO. He retired from the University in 2013.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Teresa Chambers, three daughters, Melissa (Curtis) Williams, Sharon (Ricarda) Williams and Theresa Chambers; one son, Johnny Chambers Jr; his former wife and the mother of his children, Louise Walker Chambers; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; four brothers, Paul (Bertha) Chambers, Roy Chambers, Bobby (Teresa) Witcher and Ozell Chambers; five sisters, Ruthie Neal, Ruby Stephens, Minnie Fleton Jackson, Carolyn (Keith) McNeal and Rita (Jerry) Bolden; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family..

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday March 24, 2018 at Forest Grove Baptist Church 1417 N 9th Street, Kansas City, KS.
