Johnny Ray
Goocher
Sep 21, 1954 — Aug 5, 2025
Johnny Ray Goocher, 70, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, transitioned peacefully on Tuesday, August 05, 2025, at CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs. Johnny was born on September 21, 1954, in Lake Wells, Florida, to Edd Wallace and Dorthy Annette Farmer Goocher.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Sandra Joyce Goocher; his son, Travis Ray Goocher; and his brother, Joe Goocher.
For over 20 years, Johnny drove semi-trucks across the country, proudly sharing stories of the places he visited and the memories he made along the way. In 2010, due to health concerns, he retired from the road and continued serving his community through his work with the Centerpoint School District and Wright's Food Center. Above all, he dedicated himself to caring for his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Johnny loved God, reading his Bible, spending time with his family and dogs, Willow and Buddy, and making others laugh with his quick wit and warm sense of humor. His caring nature and generous spirit touched everyone who knew him, and his laughter will be dearly missed.
Johnny is survived by his sister Eloise Johnson; brother Charles (Irene) Goocher, brother Bruce (Audrey) Goocher, sister-in-law Linda Goocher; sister Brenda Baldwin; his grandson Keaton Goocher; granddaughter Alissa Goocher; great-granddaughter Daphne Goocher; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
