Joseph Augusta 'Joe' White, 75, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life shortly after midnight on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. He was born and raised in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to James and Earline Marshall White.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Oze­bie White, and his siblings, Charles Stewart Sr., Emma Louise Wells, Sylvester White, and Debra White.

Joseph was a former member of Saint Thomas Baptist Church, where he demonstrated his faith and commitment to his church family by serving as a trustee. He was also one of the original builders of the church and personally completed the electrical wiring. His service and dedication were a meaningful part of his legacy.

Joseph was a proud graduate of Historic Langston High School. After high school, he continued his education in college, where he also enjoyed playing football. Joseph was a well-known and respected businessman who dedicated more than 50 years of his life to the electrical trade. As a Master Electrician, he owned and operated Joe White Electric Service, where he successfully bid on contracts for both commercial and residential properties.

Joseph was affectionately known for his warm personality, his signature Kool-Aid smile, and his famous twenty sweet potato pie recipe.

He was a dedicated and hardworking man who took great pride in his craft. He continued working until his health began to decline. Throughout his career, he was not only an electrician but also a mentor to many. He trained and encouraged numerous individuals and Journeymen who went on to become electricians themselves. Joseph had a heart for helping others and would lend a helping hand whenever he could. His knowledge, work ethic, generosity, and willingness to help others will be remembered forever.

Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Jerel Wright and Jermaine Coleman; his stepchildren and grandchildren; his siblings, Wanda (Elvin) Canady and Geraldine White, all of Hot Springs, Arkansas; James (Darlene) White of Richmond, Texas; and Willie and (Lynn) White of Warner Robins, Georgia; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, former colleagues, and those whose lives he touched throughout his many years.

Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that his life was well lived, his work made a difference, and his legacy will continue through the many lives he touched.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 am. The Visitation will begin one hour prior at St Mark Baptist Church, 542 Crescent Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71913.
