Karen Loraine
Webb-Holley
Jul 20, 1959 — Apr 17, 2019
Her Story
May the words from my mouth and the thoughts from my heart be acceptable to you, O LORD, my rock and, my defender. Psalm 19: 14, God's Word Translation
Words, a group of constants and syllables, a single distinct meaningful element of speech or writing yet, Karen Loraine Webb-Holley used these words to live a well-spent life of fifty-nine years. These are many of the words she used and could be found through her journals to convey her messages of Hope, Abundance, Assurance, Jesus Christ, God My Heavenly Father, Holy Spirit, My Temple, Selfless, Fearlessness, Happiness, Positivity, Compassion, Love, Pain, Family, Wonder, Amazement, Hurt, Comfort, Nurture, Spirituality, Temple Building, Motherhood, Spouse, Intimacy, Friendship, Confidant, Servitude, Caring, Estimates, Cost, Labels, Preparations, Safe-Guards, Community, Artifacts, Shopping, Estate Sales, Football, Basketball, Golf, Sports, Western's (Gun Smoke), A Good Book, Novels, Education, Home, Comfort, Good Food, Crafting, hosting events, and gardening are some of the words she used. However, there are many more to describe a "Beautiful Person" whose radiant smile projected each word mentioned.
On Wednesday, April 16, 2019, Karen Loraine Webb-Holley transitioned into the arms of her loving Sovereign Father whom she loved and knew He and the Angels would never ever leave or forsake her in her time of ascension.
Karen Loraine Webb-Holley, the youngest of four children was born July 20, 1959, to Malcolm and Scottie Mae Hollinshed Webb in Dumas, AR. Karen was a 1976 graduate of Dumas High School and a 1981 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
After graduating from the University of Arkansas, Karen moved to Texas to begin her career and to be close to her Sweetheart and Life Love, Walter Holley. They would be married August 11, 1984, and began the Holley Family, first, Ashley then Adriane. The Holley's enjoyed their lives living in Dallas, TX until an opportunity for them to locate to Hot Springs, AR in 1993 to open their own business and be close to family (Dumas). They took the leap and opened The Greatest Body Shop (TGS), thus she began her impact on the community of Hot Springs and surrounding areas. They added a new member to the Holley Clan, Ajalen (her baby boy). Her radiant smile when you entered the shop combined with her unique conversation followed by words of inspiration to carry you to the next visit. Karen's demeanor was not just for customers but for employees, the countless vendors, insurance adjustors, and other salespeople all witnessed Karen's sharp wit and keen business attributes. That same aura was also represented when they united with New Life Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. Donald R. Crossley, Sr. and merging with St. Mark Baptist Church.
Not only did Karen successfully run TGS, but she also was part of the TEA Coalition for many years as a leader mentoring young girls on the cuspate of becoming young women. She loved spreading positivity through God's Word, Deeds, and Actions. Her life is best reflected by her Ministry Outside the Walls ! Karen's love of God radiated throughout this community as an Unsung Hero, many never knowing the financial gifts she bestowed on those less fortunate and charities that needed support.
It was said, "Leave evidence that you were here! Leave things better than you found them! If your entrance doesn't make an impact, your exit won't make a difference. But you can change that by living an intentional life! Begin by asking, "How can I make things better!" We have been a witness to the life that has made an impact and a difference.
Karen was predeceased by her aforementioned, mother, (May 2007); sister, Aubrey J. Norman, (August 2018), and niece, Terriah D. Woodard-Smith (June 2008).
Karen's well-cherished life will be everlasting in the hearts and minds of her husband, Walter Holley; her father, Malcom Webb; daughters, Ashely (Anthony) Grayson, their children, Zariah and Ava, Adriane (Darrius) Freeman, their children, Jazmine, Cheyanne, and Ramiah; son, Ajalen Holley (Courtney Mitchell); Shlondon (Tony) King, their children, Jayla, Yasmine, Aniyah, and Alantis; LaToya (Lester) Newman, their children, Jimmal, JaKayla, Tamyia, Lashanti, Jayden, Lester III; sister, Jacqueline Fee; brother, Lawrence Webb; Kimberly Rodgers, a niece raised in the home; her father and mother in-love, Walter and Donnie Holley, Sr.; sisters-in-love, Pat (Clint) Lacy, Eunice (Phil) Mitchell, Schula (Abraham) Gomez'Rivas, Agnes Higgins, Susan (Dr. Alonzo,Sr.) Williams; brother-in-love; Wendell Norman; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special friends/family including Janice Davis, and Debra Hawthorne.
