Kelvin Lamar
Kizzee, Ii
Nov 11, 1992 — Sep 27, 2025
Kelvin Lamar Kizzee, II, lovingly known as "KJ," was born on November 11, 1992, in Dallas, Texas. On September 27, 2025, at the age of 32, KJ was called home to be with the Lord in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
KJ was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ida Woodley; paternal grandmother, Donnell Kizzee; paternal grandfather, Monroe Kizzee; and his bonus mother, Veronica Green Kizzee.
KJ accepted Christ at an early age and faithfully walked with the Lord throughout his life. He graduated from Justin F. Kimball High School in 2011, where he won a Texas Class 4A Basketball State Championship. He then went on to attend Blinn College on a scholarship. Over the years, he worked diligently as a warehouse associate, cook, and in facility maintenance.
Beyond his work, KJ was known for his joyful spirit and kindhearted nature. He enjoyed spending time with friends, listening to music, and watching sports. A devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, and Duke University basketball, he loved cheering for his teams. Above all, KJ treasured his role as a father and took great pride in his beloved "Kizzee Boys," Kelvin Lamar Kizzee III and Khorbin Kizzee.
KJ leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Rosa Michelle McMichael of Hot Springs, AR; his father, Kelvin Lamar Kizzee (Kim) of Dallas, TX; two sons, Kelvin Lamar Kizzee III (mother: ShaQuondra Steele) and Khorbin Kizzee (mother: Tesla Rector), both of Hot Springs, AR; two brothers, Keldon Hampton and Kevin Hampton, both of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Alexis Green and Kelly Kizzee, both of Dallas, TX; along with a host of loving uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
KJ will forever be remembered for his warm heart, radiant smile, and the love he freely shared with all who knew him. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his presence will be deeply missed.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM at St. Mark Baptist Church, 542 Crescent Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71901
