Larry D. Lawson, Sr age 62 of Hot Springs passed away, Saturday, January 4, 2020.  He was born January 25, 1957, in Pine Bluff, AR to Sylvania and Freddie Urquhart Lawson, Sr.  Larry was a graduate of Dollarway High School Class of 1976. He was an avid basketball player. He attended Mississippi Valley State University.  He was a former employee for Weyerhaeuser Company.  Larry was known as the "Fish Man", he loved to fish and would sometimes even give them away and sometimes he wouldn't($$$).

He was preceded by his father and step-mother, Sylvania and Emma Lawson, Sr, his mother and step-father, Freddie and Franklin Cooper, Sr.; a step-brother, Donald Cooper.

Survivors include his children, DaLynn, Larry, Jr, and Deswond Lawson; his brothers, Sylvania (Peggy) Lawson, Jr, Lafayette Lawson, and Gary Compton; sister, Deloris Herron; his step-brothers and step-sisters, Betty Danner, Linda (Grady) Ollison, Franklin (Ruby) Cooper Jr, Darnell (Erica) Cooper, Gary Cooper, Ulysses Cooper, and James Danner; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
