Larry Wayne Rush, 76, of Hot Springs Arkansas, passed away on October 5, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones.

Larry is preceded in death by his mother Helen Rush, father JC Rush, brothers Bob, Jack, Lee Roy, and sister Betty Joe.

Larry was born in Wagoner, Oklahoma to Helen and JC Rush on July 30, 1945. He went to high school in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and attended Langston University for 2 years.  On May 22, 1970, he married Frances (Morrow) Rush in Stillwater, Oklahoma.  Larry was a veteran who served in the Army National Guard as an Army Engineer from 1963 to 1969.  Throughout his life, he worked as a carpenter in  Stillwater and other surrounding areas.

Larry was known for his outstanding ability to repair just about anything from cars to refrigerators. During 1990's, Larry built a house from the ground up outside Stillwater that he and Frances would live in for many years before moving to Hot Springs, Arkansas. More than anything, Larry loved his wife of 51 years along with all of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Larry was an avid reader as well as a horse and dog lover.  At any time, Larry could be found tinkering around the house.

Larry is survived by wife; Frances Rush, daughters; Juletta (Harvey) Showalter, Kay (Jimmy) Romero, Lonetta  (Mark) Kimmell, sons; Allen Swartwood, Larry Rush, and Jay (Toni) Rush, 21 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Carrigan Funeral Home on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 10:00 am. Condolences may be sent to the family and online.
