Leon Norris Samuels, Sr. was born to Addison and Pearline Williams Samuels on August 15, 1952.  He was the fifth of six children.

Leon was known as "Boy" to his family and friends.  He was a happy, helpful and friendly person.  He knew no strangers.  Leon was a friend to everyone.

On August 22, 1971 he married Annie Washington and their union was blessed with two sons and one daughter.

Leon's last days were spent with his daughter in Houston, TX.

On Wednesday, January 31, 2018 Leon left his earthly home for his heavenly home.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Addison and Pearline Samuels; one daughter, Andrea George; one son, Addison Samuels; two brothers, R.J. and L.J. Samuels; two sisters, Dorothy and Elizabeth Samuels.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Andrewetta Samuels-Chandler (Christopher); one son, Leon Samuels, Jr. (Christy); seven grandchildren; one sister, Erma Smith (Robert); a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Memorial service will be 11:00 AM at Bright Star Baptist Church 3330 Meriwether Road, Shreveport, LA.
