Obituary


Linda Ann Warner in her 71 st season of life answered the voice of the Lord on Monday, May 4, 2020.  She was the daughter of the late, Mary Ann Wright Tolfree and Leotis Tolfree. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Derrick Warner, and one brother, Larry Jackson.

Linda was a graduate of J.E. Wallace High School Class of 1967.  She was the former bookkeeper of the family logging business. She enjoyed an inspiring career as a telephone operator with Alltel.   She worked as a dispatcher of the Dallas County Sheriff's Department, and Millcreek of Arkansas. After moving to Hot Springs she worked for First Step until she relocated back to Fordyce. Linda was a member of Enoch Baptist Church, Fordyce, AR.

Linda was an strong sure driven and extremely protective mother to her four sons and anyone else who needed that motherly love.  She was a vibacious, and a very compassionate person with a giving heart willing to help anyone in need especially her family.  Linda was a stunning women inside and out and she  loved deeply and she loved hard. She will be missed for her humor, her infectious smile, and undeniable presence, great culinary skills, especially her famous macaroni and cheese at family gatherings and her famous Chinese dishes for her sons.

Those left to cherish her memories include her sons, Stacy (Debra) Warner of Little Rock, Scottie (Sabrina) Warner of Fordyce, Douglas (Trudy) Warner, and Jason (Marika) Warner all of Hot Springs; her siblings, Margaret (John) Dismute of Harrel, Steve (Vickie) Queen of New Edinburg, Lawrence Queen of Chicago, IL, and Cloyce Clary of Little Rock; eleven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Mother, you held our hand for a while but you held our heart for a lifetime, now we shall forever hold you dear in our hearts.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 9, 2020, in Bethel Cemetery, New Edinburg with her son, Minister Stacy Warner, officiating.
