L.V. (Jimmy) Colton, 76, of Hot Springs, AR, passed away at UAMS on Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was born to Elvin Coulter and Ola Keel in Columbus, Arkansas on July 5, 1947.

He is preceded in death by his parents,  and his siblings Mae Lois Williams, Barbara Ann Osborne, Carolyn Thomas, Junior Coulter, and Herbert Ray Coulter.

Jimmy was a man of abundant joy, known for his infectious happiness and vibrant spirit. After attending School, he cultivated a life brimming with passions. Among his many hobbies, fishing held a special place in his heart. A frequent sight by the riverbanks, he found solace and joy in the art of angling. His love for playing dominos was equally well-known, reflecting his zest for life and sociable nature. Above all, Jimmy was a devoted family man. His warmth and dedication to his loved ones were unmatched.

Jimmy leaves behind cherished memories embraced by his wife, Jamie Lewis Colton, his sons; Anwar (Ometra) Lewis Colton, and Marvell (DaCreisha) Colton, and his grandchildren Azarah Colton, Tyanna Colton, and Marvell Coulter Jr. his siblings: Ricky (Chelita) Osborne, Sidney Tate, Elvin Coulter, Jr., Dewayne (Cary) Colter, James (Ann) Keel, and Hazel Washington.  Additionally, he leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whose lives were touched by his kindness and warmth.

A visitation to honor and celebrate Jimmy's life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 12:00 to 2:00 at Carrigan Memorial Funeral Services, 336 E. Grand Ave., Hot Springs, AR 71901.
