Obituary

Mack Elmer Pavatt, 78, of Royal, died peacefully at home (in his recliner, as requested), surrounded by his family on Friday, April 4, 2025.

Mack served his country as a Master Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, serving three tours as a combat veteran. He also received a Purple Heart Medal.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandra Pavatt, his son and wife, Brandon Pavatt and Alison Pavatt, and his daughter Marla Dagnall, his step-son, Leslie Roach, his Grandsons, Elijah Pavatt and Carter Pavatt, Richard Roach and his wife, Misty Burks-Roach, his Granddaughter, Chasity Lacey, his Great Grandchildren Jozlyn Scott, and Jordin Scott, his niece and husband, Liz Kleinschmidt and Doug Kleinschmidt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie Lee and Raymond Bernard Pavatt; his brothers, Larry Raye and Jerry Wayne; his sisters, Barbara and Mary; and his son, Allen Pavatt.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Care team at CHI St Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, along with the ICU staff. Also, Dr. Manjusha Kota, M.D., for her unwavering support.

Friends and Family will gather at 10:00 am on Friday, April 11, 2025, for a Memorial Service at Carrigan Memorial Funeral Service, 336 E. Grand Ave Hot Springs, AR. 71901. With lunch and fellowship following at Mack's Home.
