Mary Frances Velazquez age 76, of Hot Springs Village passed away Friday, October 26, 2018.  She was born to the late William and Ida Jamison Lacroix in Germantown, TN.  She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Howard, Robert and Alton Lacroix and Lillian Cargill.

Mary was a faithful member of Village United Methodist Church.  She exhibited her faith by serving with the United Church Women, Missions Outreach with the Jackson House, Potters Clay and, Harvey's Chapel Church.  She was the founder of Sew for Service.  This mission made pillow cases, baby blankets and hats for the children of Arkansas Children's Hospital and any child that was in need.  She was also an excellent caregiver.  Mary was in every sense a servant. She was a lover of animals.

Survivors include her husband, Philip Velazquez of Hot Springs Village; daughters, Katrina (Douglas) Hethmon of Sweet Home, OR and Deanna Stark (Lynn Smith) of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Alex and Benjamin Hethmon; brothers, Clarence (Rose) Lacroix of Saltillo, MS, Richard (Sandra) Lacroix of Greenville, SC, Fred (Martha) Lacroix of West Moorehead, TN, Charles Lacroix of Collerville, TN; her sister, Ruby Barbara of Summerville, TN  and a host of extended family.
