Mary Teresa Williams, 56 of Hot Springs, Arkansas, transitioned on Saturday, December 13, 2025. beloved daughter, friend, and confidante, passed away unexpectedly following a sudden stroke. She left this world surrounded by love, with her devoted caregiver and dear friend, Teaha Haywood, by her side.
Mary is preceded in death by her mother, Mary E. Williams, her sisters, Ruby Sue Williams and Ethel Mae, her aunts, Florene Smith and Stella M. Kidd, her uncles Elbert Kidd and uncle Charles Kidd.
Born on July 30, 1969, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Mary Teresa was the cherished daughter of Mary E. Williams. She graduated from Hot Springs High School in the Class of 1988, embarking on a life marked by kindness, resilience, and an unwavering willingness to help others.
Mary Teresa greeted everyone she met with sparkling, bright eyes and a radiant smile that could light up any room. Her sweet and gentle spirit was felt by all who knew her. Despite facing her own setbacks and life's many struggles, she continually put the needs of others before her own, offering whatever she could to make someone else's day a little brighter and their burdens a little lighter.
Fondly remembered for her huge, warm embraces and her contagious laughter, Mary Teresa's generosity knew no bounds. She gave freely of herself, her time, her energy, and her love, always striving to ensure those around her felt supported and cared for, even when she had little to spare.
Life presented Mary Teresa with many challenges, but she possessed a remarkable ability to face hardship with grace and perseverance, always finding a way to come back stronger. Her resilience was an inspiration to her family and friends alike.
Throughout her life, Mary Teresa worked in the food and companion industries, touching countless lives through her service, warmth, and compassionate presence.
Mary Teresa Williams will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her: uncles, Leroy Kidd, and Cleo Kidd, Couisn Stephanie Kidd, and Jacquelyn Craven, her Aunt Phyllis Kidd-Blackman, her partner, Calvin Cooper, her caregiver Teaha Haywood. Her Godmother, Teresa White, and her family friend, Janice Davis. A host of other cousins and those she called friends. Her legacy of kindness, laughter, and selfless love will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
The family of Mary Teresa wishes to thank you for your prayers that have given us strength. A special thanks to Cathy at LifeTouch Health of Little Rock. Your words of comfort have soothed our troubled hearts. Your acts of compassion through telephone calls, text messages, cards, emails, flowers, and other expressions of kindness shown us have lifted our spirits. Our prayer is that God will richly bless each of you.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Carrigan Memorial Funeral Service, 336 E. Grand Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71901.
